A previously un-named species of horsefly has been named in honour of American entertainer Beyonce due to its golden lower abdomen. Australian scientist Bryan Lessard has named the horsefly found in northern Australia Scaptia (Plinthina) beyoncea. (via Pictures of the day: 13 January 2012 - Telegraph)
